How to create a new project in OpenStack

Task

Create a new customer in my OpenStack-based cloud

Solution

Create a new project first by taking the following steps:

  • Click on "Create Project"





  • Insert a project name in the "Name" field and change default settings in the "Quota*" tab



  • Set quotas



The second step is to change security group's settings 


  • Click on "Compute" and then on "Access & Security" in the left navigation bar. To change the security group's settings, click on the "Manage Rules" button to the right





  • Add or remove rules depending on your strategy





  1. Add project members, who will be able to manage and make changes to the project. Click "+"" to add and "-"  to exclude
