How to get settings from OpenStack target cloud to configure Hystax Acura
Task
Find OpenStack target cloud settings to go through the initial configuration of Hystax Acura.
Solution
To go through the initial configuration, you need to fill in a number of parameters - those values can be obtained in your target cloud.
Here are the instructions on where to find them:
- The "Keystone API endpoint" value can be found in the target cloud (OpenStack) Project→Access & Security→ Identity.
- The "User domain", "Username" and "Password" values are credentials from the target cloud.
Please note that this user should have access to the target project.
- The "Target project domain" value is your target project domain, it often matches the value in the "User domain" field.
The "Target project ID" value can be found in the target cloud (OpenStack) Identity→ Projects→choose project and
copy the ID of this project (in this example we used the YR project).
The "Hystax Service Network" and "Floating IP Network" values can be taken from the target project (OpenStack) Project→Networks.
Values in these fields often match. In this example there are several networks, the provider network is selected (any network which suits
your requirements can be selected).
