Per-Device Volume Type for AWS, K2, Flexible Engine & OpenStack

Changing the volume type per device in the target cloud

Task

Devices need to be replicated with a different type of volume in the cloud.

Solution

Warning
This instruction applies to AWS, K2 Cloud, Flexible Engine, and OpenStack clouds.

The solution is available only for unprotected devices.
To change the disk type for a replicated device:
  1. Go to the client page Machines tab → Actions menu → Edit Replication settings.
  2. Update the Volume type field. The value can be entered as a comma-separated list of disk types (for example, SSD, SATA). Extra commas and spaces are ignored. If the machine has more disks than the number of specified types, the last type in the list will be applied to all remaining disks. For example, if the machine has 5 volumes, the first will be SSD, and the rest will be SATA. If no other settings are specified, HDD will be used by default. Refer to your cloud platform documentation to enter the correct disk type names.
